Karan takes home โน50,000. He spends โน32,000, pays โน8,000 in EMIs, saves โน7,000 and has โน1,20,000 set aside. He has only employer health cover and no term cover, and his family depends on him. He pays his card in full and tracks spending roughly.
His savings rate is 14% (12 points). His fund covers 3 months (14 points). EMIs are 16% of income (20 points). Add 5, 0, 10 and 2 for the rest, and he scores 63: “Good”.
His top actions are life cover for his family, a higher savings rate and his own health policy.
